Nope not yet. And I don't expect to either. I know ChrisM got my PM (because it shows up as read now) but apparently I won't be contacted at all. Eventually if I check my account, it will show a new order and have the info there...We'll just have to wait and see I guess. I'm not really in a huge hurry...If I had to send this one back first then I'd be in a hurry to get a new one. But I get to keep this one until the new one shows up so it's all good.

Did I mention I love this monitor? Can't wait to play some Prey on it later...

Well a friend of mine ordered a 2407 from Dell and received it today. I had him read the REV code from the outside of the box and he got an A02 model. Once he sets it up I'll let you guys know what he finds out.

These are my findings on the 2407 rev A02.

As a PC monitor it works well. When connected through the DVI input the monitor produces a great image. Text is sharp, colors are vibrant and the black level is good (better than the 2405 it replaced). I'd be lying if I said that color banding does not exist... it does but it is very minor and can only be seen at the darker end of the color spectrum. I doubt the average person will even notice this. If you are worried about banding or are holding out to see if the massive banding that was being reported all over the net is resolved then wait no more. I've seen it with my own eyes and it is a none issue. Now lets move on...

Some people are interested in using this monitor to connect "next-gen" gaming consoles to (i.e. XBOX 360/PS3). This is were Dell dropped the ball. I connected an Xbox360 to the component and VGA inputs of this monitor. When using the component the image displayed is very dark and the colors was over saturated. No matter what I did to try to correct this I was never able to get an acceptable picture. Next was the VGA input. The image is way better with colors looking natural and the brightness was spot on. The problem with the VGA is ugly Vsync issues. No matter what you are doing (dashboard browsing, playing video or gaming) you see massive tearing all over the place. Totally unacceptable! If your plans are to connect your 360 to this monitor then forget it. There are better options to choose from (like the older 2405).

If you already own a 2405FPW then stay away from the 2407. There is not enough of a change to warrant an upgrade. If you are new to the world of wide screen LCD displays and are not interested in connecting more then just your PC to this diplay then I highly recommend it. It's not perfect but for about $850 it's one hell of a PC monitor!

Thanks for the info ENU291. The only thing I use my 2407 for is computer stuff so my main concern right now is banding. With my A00 revision, it's terrible. Good to hear it's not an issue on the A02.

I joined the club, well sort of. Got me a 19" PB Maestro. Native res is 1440x900. Not that big, but pretty nice I would say. After going through plenty of monitors to replace my aging AOC LM720(this is my 4th one), I think I'm quite satisfied.

Here's one. It's of low quality though. My phone doesn't do that well when the light is low.

Does anyone have a 2007WFP that they can post a picture of? I'm looking to buy one.

EDIT: Nevermind! I searched through the pages..
