Westinghouse LCD? lol.. looks nice but Westinghouse!?! Don't they make fridges and stoves? LOL!

I actually caved and bought myself a very very nice Widescreen LCD.. LG L204WT... Picture is amazingly crisp, not as crisp as my 21" Trinitron but definitely brighter. $320Cdn.

I got it more to have more room on my desk. Immensely impressed with the quality however. I didn't want to get a LCD until it was at least 4ms..Didn't want anything either under 20".

If you are looking for a great LCD and not be raped,

The point is the Westy LVM-37w3 1080p is also classified as monitor, it has no TV tuner.

They make quality products. Many here will vouch for them.

4ms?

The human eye can barely discern anything below 16ms and cannot differentiate below 12ms. 4ms will do jack/all for you.

Fair enough. Come to think of it there are a lot of TVs that are sold without tuners too, so they'd probably qualify. In any case I was just rationalizing as to why Benq might be claiming that for their monitor.

I suppose they could be going by pixel density too. Even a 1080P 37" only has about the resolution of a 24". Regardless, I "meh" in the general direction of Benq.

Speaking of Westinghouse, I need to post pics of my Westinghouse TV too. Can't believe I forgot to do that when I posted my computer ones.

At the moment Westinghouse LCD monitors offer the best price to performance ratio of any big screen/1080P LCD on the market today. Don't believe me? Then I suggest you check out the following links for some professional reviews:

As the saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover!" or in this case "Don't judge an LCD monitor by its brand name!"

read the westy website again, most westinghouse "tvs" are not tvs, they are classified as monitors, because they don't have build in tuners, just bunch of inputs. thats the main reason why westy are affordable

that article about benq is false, its not the first one.

ok this is kinda falls in widescreen LCD club. in this shot I'm playing vampire bloodlines on a 9-foot wide gray screen with a panasonic AE900 LCD projector I just bought. of course pictures will not do it justice but wow is this immersive. It does an extremely sharp 1280x720 resolution and the colors on this thing are outstanding. Haven't had to mess with digital vibrance at all.
This is how I'm playing games from now on.

I have set the beast up and it looks so sweet. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to 4:3 monitors. Playing games feels so different the exta FOV helps a lot.
