I haven't even taken it out of the box. Debating with myself whether I should just hold out for the 680i and ebay the 590. That review you posted comparing the 570 & 590 didn't encourage me to go ahead with the build, lol.

Damn impulse buying...

That sucks man. My 2407 A03 (took me 3 monitors to get it, but I have one now) is flawless. No dead pixels. Sharp text. No banding in either direction. Pure gold. And the new panel they put in these A03's is amazing. Like I'm talking 180 degree viewing angles with ZERO colour changing/ brightness change. It's unbelievable. Hopefully your new one will be nice too!

That's the reason why I bought my montior from Best Buy. I had them take it right to the test bench and make sure there wasn't any dead pixels. I would have liked the 20" Samsung, but I didn't want to have to deal with RMA's if it wasn't perfect.

Crap, you just made me want one really badly. My 20" is pretty good with viewing angles, but there's a slight color change at small angles that I can see if I have a screen with a lot of the same color even sitting directly in front of it. I keep worrying that there's something wrong because the transition area between the two looks kind of funny.

Oh well, this should really last me at least a couple of years and by then all LCDs will have perfect viewing angles (which is what I said two years ago when I bought my first one).

Sign me up as a memeber. Just got my Chimei CMV 221D 22" Widescreen LCD.

I must say it is impressive. Especially coming from an old 17" Samsung 172x (Quite a monitor in it's day).

I can see why Viewsonic and Dell use ChiMei panels. Even though they are only 6+2 colour, they look great. To top it all of it was only $500 AUD.

Here is a pic of it setup at the office for testing. It's not glossy, I just have left the protective sheet on till I get it home

Sorry about the crappy phone pic. The work digital camera is in use.
