You know what? Dell has the best return/replacement arrangement ever. I was so impressed with their service too. I mean, they send you the replacement, when you get it, you put your old one in the box the new one came in, put on the prepaid shipping sticker, and send it back to them.

But if you're happy with your 2405 you might as well stay with it.

The thing I love about monitors. Most last for years. If it wasn't for widescreen PC gaming taking off as it did. I would have kept my 172x for another couple of years easy.

Yes my spam could intesify with the new monitor... But I do all my spamming on the lappy at work. This 22" baby is coming home and is for games only

Just wish SLI supported dual monitors without all the enabling and disabling.

Well the ChiMei gets a vote from me. The build quality is not that good. But thats fine if you just plan to leave it in one spot. I have a custom feather touch stand I'm going to try installing on mine

EDIT

and he it is the the custom stand... Rotate for Sam and Max comic viewing...

Well after getting the monitor home and firing up FEAR. I found on the dark images a dead pixel... So anyway CMV support On site pickup and replacement. So it's at no cost to me. I can just sit around and play games on my also ample sized 19" 5:4 monitor

Hey!! I had a 172x as well!! I loved that thing. Actually I still have it around here somewhere...I couldn't take the 17" though. I needed bigger!!!

I also can't figure out why nvidia hasn't figured out SLI with dual monitors. I wouldn't think that it would be that big of a deal...I could really use it.

Great news! (For Canadians) Crutchfield is coming to Canada.
Hopefully by mid-November this year.

More competition is always great. I also hope Crutchfield is going to bring the Westy LVM-37w3 to Canada.
BestBuy (the only Canadian supplier for Westinghouse) is promising to bring the model to Canada since June but they still sell the older LVM-37w1 model at w3 model prices. What a robbery since I'm sure they got the old model on fire sale.

Not all prices are so great at Crutchfield, I noticed the SHARP 37D90U, another TV (PC monitor) I'm considering can be get localy for at least $300 less.

Anybody has any personal experience with the SHARP 37D90U. Looks like it might be better TV but the Westy might be better PC monitor.
Few people at AVS Forum (Official SHARP 37D90U thread) reporting color bleeding mainly noticeable on color text (PC use) and not great customer support from Sharp.

So most likely I will get the Westy LVM-37w3 unless something better comes out before Christmas.
The Westy is much less money, has Picture-in-Picture display plus I don't need the HDTV tuner since I'm going to have the ATI PC card for that.

Hey Guys. I am ready for a new monitor and I am looking to get a widescreen preferrably no smaller than 20 inches. I have a Sceptre picked out form newegg(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824112176), what do you guys think? Obviously price vs. performance is a big factor.

I saw someone just got a new dell, how is the 2007WFP? What is the difference between the 2007WFP and the E207WFP? Both are 20' widescreen yet at 2 extremely different prices.

E207WFP

2007WFP

Go with the Dell, Sceptre quality is a little suspect IMO.

Don't get the Scepter Naga III. I had one for half a day before I returned it.

Even if they fixed the refresh/judder problem(which will drive you crazy in gaming and video)... the text clarity is horrible, especially black text on a grey background.
