Nice setups guys, very clean and neat. I picked up my new LCD a few days ago and I have to say that I'm absolutely in love. Christmas gift to myself

I'm so jealous! I been looking at the 2690 model for a many months. But fortunately, it wasn't available in Greece until recently, so I'm going for the successor of this model, which has a new LG Philips panel, with 102% adobe color gamut and HDMI, 2 ms IPS (!) . Hopefully it will come at the same time as the LG W2600A, which is March.

Yea Greece is a little slow getting things sometimes but they are improving I also looked very hard at the 2690 as the price difference was almost nothing but it seems to suffer with ghosting/uneven backlighting and complaints about input lag. It looks like all first gen wide gamut displays have a few issues which is why I tried to avoid them for now. The new LG panel sounds impressive though, I can't wait to see it in action.

What's the Sharp Aquos remote on your desk for? To you have a Sharp TV in the same room?

Actually, we have a major distributor chain here in Greece (Plaisio), which has numerous products available on release date, sometimes in the past they even broke NDA's sold retail products such as graphics cards in advance. ASUS boards seem to sell here before anyone gets them in these forums and before they are reviewed anywhere on the internet. About the 2690 backlighting, I read in prad.de that once you enable ColorComp, the display shows 1,5% brightness variety, which is the lowest of any monitor reviewed. Looking forward to March and congrats on your NEC display!

I was just joking, it's not like it used to be. I get quite a few things from there that I cannot find here
But it's good to hear ColorComp works on the 2690, I don't really like its effect on the 24". Its still a very nice display and I'm sure its successor will be even better. I'm loving this newfound NEC quality

Ive had this Philips 47" 1080P LCD for a little while now and im loving it.

Picture quality is great. sharp image, text is very easy to read. I use a DVI to HDMI plug to get 1920x1080@60hz. Games play great on this monitor so I now play on it instead of my samsung.

you can see how much bigger this monitor is compaired to my 24" samsung 244T

The first picture is before I mounted it to my wall.
(I have a really bad cam. color and lighting dont look so great in these pics)

Anyone recommend me a 24" widescreen? Im thinking about the samsung SM-245B 24"

Seems like a good display and very affordable.

I just grabbed a Samsung 226bw.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001096
I didn't get meine at newegg, mine was just over $200.00.
My only con wrt this monitor is the lack of height adjustment. It sits very close to where I would have it anyway though.

So far this thing is amazing.

I would have recommended the Dell 24" but they have now cheapened it down alot, so either the 27 or the 30. But they are going to be alot more than a 24.
