Thanks for the link, there's a lot of good info.

IDK... I do have dead pixel too. It was $500 once at the Dell site and I snapped it up, didn't do much research.

You know, for one pixel, it just isn't worth the hassle for me, especially since I bought online. I hardly notice it, and in fact it was months before I noticed it at all.

Thats the first thing I look for, I'm so picky when it comes to LCDs. I wondering if Dells 09 models will be coming out soon.

Is Dell the only company that has a warranty like this ?

If you can find a good deal and swing the extra, I highly suggest the NEC MultiSync LCD2490WUXi-BK - 24".

Or the 2690 since you're already spending a fortune, but those things are very expensive. If you do professional graphics then they're the only way to go, but otherwise there are cheaper IPS panels that are going to look almost as good. But it's your money, and they are damn good monitors.

Yes, they are top-notch and once you calibrate them, you will never look back. Also they have an incredible warranty of 4 years with 48 hr turn around. This is one of those times that " You get what you pay for" As well as, the 2490 and 2690 have A-TW polarizer, the screen looks so good off angle. Wonderful scaling too if you are into multimedia. If you can, get the Sprectraview version with the 1I x-rite colorimeter and SpectraviewII software. You are set !
