Ive been watching a few of those videos and WOW is all i can say!
Also on a side note, WMV10 is quite a cpu hog (but good since it has small file size to quality ratio) but on my fx-53 i get aroudn 40% use, and spikes to 60% during heavy motion!!!! Great 'display' to my friends ![]()

I couldn't resist. I ordered a few of those discs today from Amazon. The coral reef one, the one on the amazon, and one about flight. Can't wait to kick back on the couch and check those out. The detail is really uneblievable compared to what you're used to - even w/standard WS dvd's.

If what I hear is right about those WMV versions (the 1080p/720p) requiring DRM and Media Player - then I think MS has put the kabosh on that.
![]() I'll know more when they get here ofcourse. |

Im thinking about getting a 2405W in June since I will be broke in May thanks to E3, just one question though. On Dells site they state that the LCD has Component inputs, is this true? Can I hook up my PS2/Xbox to it and play in Progressive scan?
If so, Im so getting it... |

Just a quick update. The squigglies I get with the XBox over component don't appear when I hook up the PS2 over component. Also, my buddy had the same prob as me with XBox, but his Gamecube worked perfectly. Must be an issue with the XBox. Weird.

Those 3 WMVHD documentaries I ordered from Amazon came today. We're going to watch the "Coral Reef Adventure" tonight and checkit out in 1080p. I'll see if it appears to use DRM. How can you tell?

hey guys I have a question. Will my leadtek 6800 128mb card be able to support the resolutions of the 2005 or 2405? I just finished this huge editing job and I figure that the money I made would be better spent on an lcd screen than eye surgery after all the strain my peepers were put through, and the strain to come, with my two crt monitor set up. not to mention the fact that i have no friggin space on my desk anymore. thanks

XBox squigglies update.
I rented a game for XBox that supports 1080i (MX vs ATV Unleashed.) Worked perfectly with no squigglies. And, like I said earlier, PS2 works fine at 480P. So, there is an issue with XBox 480P only. Weird, but livable, especially since I'll be first in line to get XBox 2 and the games support a minimum of 720P. ![]() |
