Yes. The discounted price for the monitor is coming from somewhere. Someone getting a consumer system would have to be retarded not to get a monitor if you only save a little bit taking it off. The reason monitor upgrades are cheaper is teh cost is bundled in.

24" wide has:
D-sub, DVI, S-video, Composite, Component
And supports PIP and PBP for them purdy connections.

Oh yes, it's got the hookup.

Not necessarily true. The reason why you only save $100 by taking off the minitor in this particular case is because there happens to be a free upgrade from 17" LCD to 19" for any XPS system. The price of the 17" is included in the system price, so removing the monitor only removes the 17" which is worth $100. However, there's another $200 extra discount on the whole system which will be applied before check out if the total is over $1499 before discount.

I used to, but not any more. I quit before Dell HK moved their office to mainland China. They're based in Shenzhen now.
