Actually, the return policy of Dell HKG is no returns at all, so you cannot return an item because you don't like it. In fact, you can't even cancel your order once the payment is confirmed, even if the item has not shipped. They will, however, replace the item for you free of charge if it's defective or has defects. Not sure about their dead pixs policy though. But I think it's 6, not 15.

Did you notice any backlight bleeding, i.e, the corners look brigther than the rest of the screen?

My 2005FPW came in this Thursday as well and I have not noticed any dead pixels yet ,though I have not looked too close,I've just been playing too much to really care at this point.I did set the screen all black and sat in a dark room and looked for backlight bleeding, the lighting is pretty well even all across the screen. So far I am very happy and my games have never looked and played better.

Most LCD panels have the bleeding to some extent, the 2005fpw is no exception. The area above the controls on mine is a little brighter when looking for it. Size and a wide viewing area compound the difficulty of producing a bleed-free panel.

Try adjusting down the brightness. If you have a DVD with the THX home tuning kit, use it to calibrate your display. Most displays are "hot" from the factory. I turned down my brightness a bit which helped balance the image. Run the Display optimazation wizard in the Tools menu of the driver control panel. You will find that Gamma is hot and the brightness is too high.

In addition to the two stuck green on black pixels my LCD came with out of the box, over the months since I originally received it (been about 8-10 months now) two more pixels have started to become problems as well. It's to bad but it proves to me that over time LCDs can develop bad pixels that weren't there initially.

Tried the pixel mash to fix it?

Oh you mean massaging them? No I haven't tried that yet. I'm kind of leery there.

Minor backlight bleeding is fine, but heavy bleeding is not acceptable. I exchanged mine 3 times to get one perfect.

I haven't noticed any backlight bleeding on my 2405fpw. It is a very bright monitor and I had to turn it down a bit to save my eyes. I really have no problems that I can complain about with this monitor. I'm very happy with it and 24" never looked so good

You're right, both the 20" and 24" are very bright, even after tuning down the brightness to 0. Anyways, I think you're very lucky. My 2nd 2005FPW had severe blacklight bleading that's even noticeable in daytime, and it covered almost 50% of the screen, so it had to go back Dell, lol.
