It wiill be stretched pretty ugly if you use the "Fill" scaling to fill the entire screen. "Aspect" scaling is better since it keeps the 16:10 aspect ratio but is still kinda blurry. I prefer to use 1:1 with zero distortion, but the lower the resolution gets, the smaller youf FOV is.

My 2005fpw came with the DVI cable, a D-Sub cable and USB uplink cable for the hub. Very pleased with the bundle.

lcd's really do suck for gameing when you have a side by side comparison. however wow is cool

....A month ago I borrowed a friend's Ultrasharp 19". I know its not the same as what were talking about here, but I thought it would give a good idea on what I was planning on getting into.
My general impression was exactally what Glow said above.....gaming sucked on that LCD....Basicly, it was way to dark(no matter where the brightness was set), there was a "fuzzyness" about everything and the smearing\ghosting was noticible at higher resolutions.
That exp. way-layed my LCD plans, until recently...because all I've been hearing is how wonderful these big Dell's are.
Now, Glow slaps me back to reality

I like the idea of wide-screen gaming and a huge, thin LCD sceen, but I can't shake the feeling its going to be a step backwards and be more of a PITA than its worth......

You live in CT can you not try one out at a store nearby like a best buy? You might even be able to get a Samsung and then just return it if you end up hating it...?

Like I said before...I'm going to the MaximumPC DMX tour in NYC in a few weeks...mainly to see the dual 2405's in action. I think after that I'll be able to finally say yes or no.

I actually had the opposite problem with my LCD. It is hard making black be black b/c the backlight is so bright even dialed down a lot, it still bleeds through. It took me forever to get things adjusted for games like Doom 3.
