Fyi for all, the end of the fiascal quarter is coming up end of Jan so please keep an eye on coupon mountain and other sites for coupons for use on peripherals.

Some are stackable.

Might find some nice and juicy deals. Unfortunately I don't make the promos nor can I share some of the codes I have, but coupon mountain and others like it are great places to raid for those babies

Wouldn't you rather have this one?

I wonder how long it'll take to have video cards powerful enough to render games with good IQ settings at a playable rate at that res.

HOLY COW!

Have you guys seen the Westinghouse 37" TV? Check out this thread, people are using them as monitors also and it looks like a winner.

Anyone want a slightly used and well taken care of 2405FPW?

Well it *might* be for sale dude.

I'm going to try out the Westinghouse tonight. If I likey... Then I might cut you a deal. We'll rap about it once I am sold on this new "display".

Check back for pictures tonight, if I have time I'll post 'em here.

Hey Riptide I saw the Westy a few months ago in person and I have to say that it is enormous but the Dell 2405FPW blows it away in image quality. The back light on the Westy leaks all over the place and the black level is not good at all. I personally believe that the black level in the 2005FPW is much better then the Westy and that's not saying much cause the black level on the early 2005FPW was terrible. There is another 37" LCD on the market that does 1920X1200 over DVI by Sceptre. The AVS Forums have a few threads about it. I believe one of them is like 60 pages long!!

I have it hooked up now and it is unbelievably H U G E.

Pictures are on the way. I've barely had time to do much with it and at the moment am recovering from the shock of seeing my desktop on such a gigantic display. Seems a little bright out of the box, one of the first things I'll do is turn that down a tad.

Need to install some software because one of the things I gave up is my card reader (2405FPW has one). So I need to get the USB working w/the camera and snap a few pictures.

Can't say much on the IQ yet. Regarding leakage it's still warming up - nothing bad so far although in the extreme upper left/right corners there is some leakage that shows up if you aren't sitting directly in front of it. Nothing compared to the 2005FPW early revisions though.

Will post back later.

Sweet, can't wait for the pics. I can't imagine having a screen that big.

Hey guys does anyone with a 2405FPW wanna help me out? It's been a long time and I'm at least temporarily putting her back in storage for a bit but I can't figure out whether you set the panel in the box face down or face up. It seems like it should be face down or at least that's how I remember it. But I'm just not sure about it.

Pictures will be up soon. Almost ready to load the camera software.
