It's a Westinghouse 37" Monitor (1920x1080).

Wow, it's on sale for $1599.

Wow, that Westinghouse is an old company. I was watching a movie yesterday called "Goodnight and good luck" taking place in the '50s and they had Westinghouse monitors in the CBS studios. Is Westinghouse an american company?

Westinghouse is a very old american company. I believe they date back to the early nineteen hundreds. As per the Westinghouse LCD that Riptide owns, most likely the panel is not manufactured by Westinghouse.

Yeah I'm not sure who makes the panel. Westinghouse though isn't the same company today it once was. I think they've been bought out at least once.

I tried wiki'ing it but it errors out when I hit the search button. Wierd.

Riptide that thing is sick! You're making me wish I'd gone with a HDTV monitor!

Grats on your purchase, hope you enjoy it for a long time.

Well I spent the extra $200 on the BB service 3 year agreement. Seeing as Westinghouse has only recently got into the business it was recommended from avsforums that I get the agreement. The manufacturer warranty is only one year, unacceptable (to me) for a $1000+ purchase.

Well you can see the lava lamp off to the left.

But yeah it might've been good to have someone else photograph me while I was actually sitting there playing FarCry or something. Oh well maybe if I get a fire lit under me I'll take another set.

Did you keep yours upright during transport? I just tried to buy one since they're on sale but the guy said I needed to keep it upright during transport. It won't fit in my car that way so now I'm waiting on a friend with a SUV to get here so we can go get it. If you didn't bother doing that, I may go back now instead of waiting.

Yes I did and yes it's retarded.

Seriously. How many LCDs have you seen shipped on their sides? We have literally boxes of them downstairs here at work. Dell ships pretty much all their monitors in the box FACE DOWN.

I really don't know wtf BB's problem is. They are paranoid.

I would humor them though. You don't want them to see you drive off with it on it's side or they might throw a fit and not honor the warranty or their return policy.

Okay, ignore the PM I just sent you and thanks for the info. I mentioned the Dell LCD in that also. It was on its side so I didn't think it was a big deal but the BB guy definitely said it was.
