Thanks. I thought the fonts might be really small at such a high res but I guess the monitor is so big, it offsets that.

Yeah, it usually arrives earlier than expected also.

I finally saw the price of the 26" Dell TV and that's a lot more than I expected. I guess I must have gotten the 23" and 26" price mixed up when I was looking at it earlier. I think I might just get one of those tuners that turns a computer monitor into a TV and use it with my extra 19" LCD.

Yeah, the price of the 26" is very high (even on sale) compared to the rest of the no name brands from newegg etc.

However, I chose to go with the dell because i know if there is a dead pixel etc i can return it or exchange it for a new unit. For the same money I could of gottena 32" lcd from newegg. However, tehy dont have as many inputs and newegg states "no returns or warrenty what so ever". Since these are 'no name' brands that i have never herd of I dont really trust the quality and the 'factory warrenty'. Also I really like the DNX Pixelworks chip's that provide all the scaleing, im sure alot of it is marketing hype but I dont feel many other tvs offer the same stuff it trys to do. Basicly its an anti-aliasing and scaleing engine that seems to be pritty dam good.

Hm, when i move the mouse you can see that it isnt going at 60fps, like on my 2405. And on movies when a screen pan comes up it gets choppy like playing a slow video game kinda. Wondering if its a dumb issue, im reinstalling windows on that box to be sure and gonna try a second box out too.

Kinda like haveing droped frames or something

What is the native resolution of the 26"? Did you match it exactly in the display properties? Also remember that you have to set the refresh rate for LCD screens at 60Hz since LCD screens do not really refresh an image, they just turn pixels on or off.

Switzerland is a beautiful country.

Reminds me of Missoula MT with all the mountains right there. Nice pictures! Hey would you mind posting some in 1920x1200? I'd like to use them as my desktop if that's OK.

Hm alright under further testing, there is defiantly something diffrent or wrong useing the dvi setup.

Useing my all in wonders 'componant' cables to the tv insted. Everything is smooth like I would expect. My main basis is the movent of the mouse. With dvi its choppy, with componant its smooth.

After reviewing video on it the dvi defiantly still shows chop but its not as noticeable.

I am thinking its the tv's hardware scaleing or something that for some reason is not working fast enough. I do notice that the CCC only allows me to select 1360 x768 while dell states the native res is 1366 x768. Could that make a diffrence make the scaleing work overtime or something?

Im gonna hook it up to diffrent video card (5900) in a few hours after I install windows xp on that box again.

Any ideas? I am going to swap out dvi cables with a known good one i use on my 2405 just incase that could be the cause also but im doubtful of that solution.

Can you force the resolution in the CCC? Seems like I saw an option for that.
