Yeah interlacing SUCKS. Proscan is king.

One thing 1080i does have going for it is during slower motion sequences you really get a lot of detail out of it.

1080p is ofcourse the best of all.

Woot got my first LCD monitor after holding onto my Iiyama for about 7 yrs. All I can say is that after leaving it on for a day, the image quality in everything, movies, games and desktop is top notch, oh and is also widescreen

Its in my sig

The new NEC-20WGX2, intitally I wanted to get the Dell 2405, but then thought that playing games at native resolution may be hard. After lots of reading, and Nutty's posts about this screen, I thought this would best suit my needs, and it does FEAR looks so nice, just as good as my crt with the added bonus of WS.

Going bigger 20" WS would be nice, but doing so you lose quality and performance!

I got the same monitor last week, and while it has no dead or stuck pixels, it has been suffering from terrible backlight bleeding. In the daylight it's not noticeable, but in a semi-dark or dark room the black is terrible, more like purple-grey with white spots in the 4 corners. Other than that, this is the best monitor I've ever seen. If I was not so occupied with Oblivion, I would have sent it back to get a replacement. I'll send on Monday and fortunately I still have my trusty NEC 1375X 22" CRT.

Yes I have the same problem, but only buttom left and top right corners. The reason that I hadnt commented on this yet, is that I had read and seen in photos on another forum that this may totally go after about a week of heavy use. If you want to look at the photos Im talking about, Im pretty sure it was on the widescreengaming forums, under user review of this screen, Ill dig up a direct link.

**Edit**
Just thought I would repost the two photos comparing the improvement over one week.

Dell has a current "10 days" promotion going on.

The 2405 is starting at $799 right now.

Dunno if it is stackable or not. Also not sure exactly how long this specific promo will last.
