According to the review Dell 2407 is 6 bit panel compared to Dell 2405 8 bit panel ?
First time i noticed this about 6 bit panel. Dell 2407 has on Tech Specs that it supports 16.7 million colors?
Even if virtual 8 bits is being used (6 bit + dithering), than it should say 16.2 million colors.
Waiting for answer for this also at Dell Forum
Let us know whether its a 6 or 8 bit. I've actually bought this monitor THREE times in the last week...but cancelled due to cold feet. I might still get it if its an 8 bit, though.

It's definately 8bit. The samsung panel it uses is listed on the samsung website as being 8bit. And everything I've read says it's 8bit...

I can't believe it went on sale at dell canada. I just bought mine last sunday. Although I'm still waiting for it...errrr. Apparently all Dell Canada orders are shipped out of Austin Texas. I mean....why don't they have a Canada location they can ship stuff from?!? That would make way more sense. Oh well, it should be here on tuesday.

Haha!! I'm getting my 2407 tomorrow!!! That's the one thing I don't like about purolator...They're trying to deliver it today, but I work so nobody is home. So they take it back to the depot and I have to go pick it up tomorrow I don't want to wait that long I'm so excited. Kinda weird....

Hahaha!! I convinced Purolator to let me have it early!! This thing is amazing!! Only problem is Dell decided to screw me and ship me an A00 revision. Oh well, I've signed up to get an A02 replacement. This thing is HUGE!!! And my 7800gtx's drive it quite nicely Here's a teaser pic More to come.

Looking good, enjoy and wait for the replacement, should not take long.
Can't believe Dell still shipping the A00 since they know about the problem for some time, the two extra shipping and handling must cost them good money. I guess they just bet on that many customers might not know about the A02 replacement.

I know, I don't know what they are thinking. Although, they are probably trying to get rid of all the A00 panels so they are giving them to people hoping they haven't read about the problems. I bet most people wouldn't notice the problems...But if you use photoshop at all, it's totally apparent.

Man I love this monitor!!
