Default Benchmarkin and Asus PEG Link

read the article about Asus PEG Link with the nvidia 6800gt which by the way seems to have no effect on performance, but does have an effect on ATI cards (i believe it slightly overclocks it), now, asus is a very popular brand and it is used by most reviewers, now my question is, is it fair to compare ATI and NVIDIA cards on this board when Asus PEG Link only works for ATI cards?
