Well if the news about a new highend card in Feb is correct there is no reason to do anything other than P35.

I'll have an eVGA 8800gt on here shortly, so I'll have some new 3dmark06 scores, and I'm about sure I can beat my 8800gtx scores.

Yes, just one card. It bests my single GTX score by a good margin. About 1000 points. The core clocks really help.

One item you will notice, however, is that SM 2.0 is much better than SM 3.0 performance. The GTX/Ultra is the other way around. So, in DX10 apps, the GT will not do as well. But, since most current games are DX9 and there are few DX10 games, most people will see very good real world results.

Current OC and Mark06 score in sig. Not to bad for a modest OC if you ask me

Can anyone explain/advise here:

I just bought a new system - Nvidia GeForce 7300 SE/ 7200 GS, Intel quad core @ 2.4GHz, 2GB Ram - Ran 3D Mark v.6 and scored....489. No, that's not missing a number, four-hundred-and-eighty-nine.

I ran 3D Mark v.6 (the free version, which does not allow you to change settings). When it gives me my results it states 'As this test was not run on default setting the score may not be valid'. Is there something wrong with my system? Is there something amiss with the free 3D Mark? This result seems way to low for a system of this spec to me.

Open to all comments and suggestions.

Go into your drivers control panel and set every thing to performance.Make sure AF filtering and AA is OFF! If there on then maybe thats a issue but there has to be more to it that score is retarded. Does it tell you what scored what?

Did you install the graphics driver?

Is that a DELL XPS?

I saw one today in the newspaper was using a 256mb 2600xt for $1400 (£700) and I thought that was bad

Matching a Q6600 with the cheapest possible pci-e graphics card is just taking the biscuit, It serves no gaming purpose whatsoever with anything less than an 8800.

Anyway first try with my new card, e6400@ 3.4, GT@700/1750/1000
