I ran linux from scratch for several years, and the nvidia driver has always worked with no problems.
I haven't done LFS in about a year, but I don't see any reason it won't continue to work. What problems are you having? |

just a futuristic worry, as I received a response from the LFS community that
there is a site that had done openGL with DRI thus no hardware acceleration. That bothers me alot. But if you had done so with nVidia card, maybe you can help by providing me a tip as to what to be aware and what sources to use etc etc to be proper and productive. thanks. |

Hi,
where is the problem? download installer, run installer, edit xorg.conf and you are ready to go. |

Hi,
one thing: prepare some package of the installed opengl-libs and headers (libGL*), because some (few) applications don't compile against them, and it is nice to be able to switch back (or have a look at the gentoo ebuilds and do, what they do and create symlinks). |
