Greetings everybody!
I think this might be of interest to some of you who are running Linux and a nvidia-graphics card with a recent driver. For those of you living under a rock (in terms of new development in the domain of X11) there are a few new things possible for desktop-UI under Linux... or well systems using Xorg 6.9/7.0. Take a look here. A small screenshot to wet you appetite: ![]() Best regards... MacSlow

I made a new release (0.2) that improves rendering- and resizing-speed, allows you to fully customize the looks of the clock (via SVG-files) and offers command-line options for the initial window-size and the refresh-interval.
![]() Direct download-links: 0.2 release tarball (MD5SUM) Over the last few days since the inital release it spread a bit on the net: project homepage its entry at gnomefiles.org its entry at gnome-look.org its entry at freshmeat.net its entry at linux.softpedia.com Tell me how you like it and what you dislike. If you made a funky new theme for it send me your SVG-files. I'm planning to add further support for themes in the next versions and would like to ship a few good looking skins users can choose from in the future. Also make sure to take a look at the TODO, NEWS and README files. Best regards... MacSlow

heh, to me, it's quite useless, nice work though. I just find no use for it.
My opinion of course ![]() gnutux |

I moved my blog here. The new home of cairo-clock is now this one.
If you're a bit into coding and like to get to know new bits and pieces of the current Linux graphics-stack for desktop-UI, checkout this recent blog-entry and screencast... ![]() (codec: ogg/theora, size: ~1.2 MBytes) Best regards... MacSlow
