Default anyone have any clue how to ...

I am basically a noob when it comes to working on linux and i can quite understand the root of my problem

the problem:
i have installed suse 9.3 and i cant see my mouse cursor even tho the mouse(logitech plain optical corded 2+1) is working as in i know its detected so i think its a graphic problem.
i have a 6800GS card on my sys which was detected as 0cc00 during suse's installation.
please help me
i dont even have a working internet connection in linux so i guess i will have to compile the driver file i downloaded 8178
i think i shud do the foolowing but dont know exactly how

1> rmmod nvidia - can u explain how
2> sh (the driver file.run) in console after ionit 3 (runlevel 3)

then what please help me
i would really appreciate any help i can get

Doesn't sound like an nvidia problem - if you can see X working, the only problem is the mouse configuration - use yast to configure your mouse. Alternatively, read the nvidia readme and configure your mouse yourself, but it should be straightforward with yast. If all else is ok, copy /etc/X11/XF86Config to a backup before calling up yast, then look at what yast did. I think sax2 also works but will surely alter your /etc/X11/XF86Config file.
