Hi,
I have FC4 running on a number of workstations (14) with various NVidia cards (MX200 <-> FX5200) monitor combos. FC4 is running kernel 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4. When I run the nvidia installer all appears to compile correctly but X fails to start and returns a blank screen. This happens on all but three of the workstations (which have a FX5200/Viewsonic VP201mb combo) Using the same xorg.conf file, reverting to driver 7676 bring the displays back to life. Yesterday I fitted one of these FX5200/Viewsonic, running 8178, with a different LCD display (NEC 2070NX) and, despite the login screen appearing, the monitor OSD displayed an "Out Of Range" message. I tried various X changes but the only way I could get the monitor to accept the card/driver was to revert back to 7676. Has anyone else experienced these issues? Steve |
