Default Does AllowDDCCI work on mobile GPU?

I use a Toshiba P24-s607, with a GeForce4 420 Go, 32MB. I have now attached a Samung SyncMaster 970p to the external video connector. I can't get the X display to be centered in the 970p, X is shifted to the left about 24 pixels off screen. I've tried experimenting with various mode lines and settings. I read that the AllowDDCCI option when enabled would give me some control over the screen via the nvidia-settings applications. However, this doesn't appear to be the case on the GeForce4 420 Go. How can I adjust the position of X in the monitor?

This monitor has no hardware controls, so I can't adjust it manually.

Push and hold the Power Button. After a few seconds the Automatic starts and the Screen will be centered.
