Just wanted to know which audio player people are using. I was using WMP9, but then I got these Sennheiser HD212 Pro headphones for Christmas, and I didnt seem to like WMP much after that
So I dl and installed good ole Winamp2 with the MAD pluggin, much better. Last night I came across another player, sound as good as Winamp2+pluggin(s) but with just the basics, no skins, just a player with good sound. You may or not have heard of it before, its called Foobar2000, and you can check it out right here Anyways, if anyone else has a fav audio player, be sure to let us all know about it here, also list fav pluggins also. <-- Me since getting some decent headphones for my pc, never listerned to much music before on my pc, but now all the time, hoping to get an Audigy2 early March, cant wait 24bit goodness

I've been using winamp since the 0.x versions, though I hate 3.x heh, so I'm currently using 2.x

I use Winamp 2.x for most of my music. It's just been a great player; low performance hit, great quality, and free without spyware to boot.

Winamp2 is superior because of the MAD decoder plugin, but i still like WA3's skinning features. why the hell can't they let us use plugins for WA3

Hmm something I never thought of doing before, but lastnight I upgraded WinDVD4 to WinDVD Platinum
and tried my mp3s on it. All I can say is after playing around with the settings like SRS TruSurroundXT and the likes, I like..I like alot, only bummer is that it doesnt support oggs I suggest if you dont have it already, to go and at least dl the trial and try it out.

Winamp 3.0 : tried it, didn't like it too much. Back to 2.78, and I love it.

WinAmp has been spectacular until 3 came out. It doesn't last too long before it starts quiting with illegal operations. I've gotten pretty sick of it.
I'm using Media Player 8 for lack of anything better. |
