Anyone else try PDZ and hate it...

I had to put some serious effort into TRYING to like this game, but in the end I just hate it. These are my reasons why:

1. Tearing. How did that make it past QC?

2. Controls. Absolutely sluggish. The character looks like she might be about 90lbs but I feel like I'm controlling Peter Griffin in that episode where he weighed a metric ton.

3. The story.

4. The level design. Personally I believe the way-point system was added after they realized how poor the level design were.

5. No AA. I know that to some people the lack of AA is a very petty thing, but not to me. Not to me. /end

1. I swear I don't see tearing, which HD res are you outputting from the Xbox?

2. Fixable, default sucks. I forget the settings, but when I get a chance I'll type mine in.

3. Yeah, I pretty much ignore it.

4. I love it, but didn't the first 2-3 levels. It gets better, keep going!

5. I swear there is AA! I'll have to look closer.


I didn't like the game initially either, but after fixing the controls and progressing a little further I love it.

I didn't like the game initially either, but after fixing the controls and progressing a little further I love it.

1. I'm certain the tearing is well documented.

2. I've tried several settings. No matter how high or low I set the values, it's still too slow IMO.

4. I've played through the whole game twice.

5. I'm also certain the lack of AA is also documented. I'll dig up some links. The motion blur does not count IMO.

I see no tearing in mine...
not once have I seen it
and I can definantly see at least 2xAA applied

Maybe depends on what tv u use?

I just didn't like it because it felt nothing like the original Perfect Dark which I thought to be one of the best console FPS titles in history.

Exactly. It also has some of the most annoying voices I have ever heard in a game especially in multiplayer. The game was trash and should never have been made if they could not live up to the first one or make it better. What a way to ruin a classic brand.

Of course they couldn't live up to the original, just like EA failed to live up to GoldenEye with every bond game... none of them are the original developers.
