Default SuSE 10.0: Twinview not working.

Hi All,

I'm quite stuck. Can't seem to get the Twinview feature working in SuSE 10.0. I have had this working previously under 9.2 with the identical hardware...but that setup is lost due to a HD failure :-(

I have an identical 2-panel setup with one connected to the VGA port, and the other to the DVI port. During boot, both displays are functional and displaying identical information. Just before the log-in screen, the panel connected to the VGA port flashes the nVidia logo and then displays the log-in screen...the DVI connected panel is blank.

I've attached my xorg.conf file...

Any ideas???

Thanks in advance!
Torsten

tried SAX2...didn't get me anywhere...then started to manually edit xorg.conf.

Do you have any advice on using SAX2 to get Twinview working?

Thanks

PCmonkey,
I'd suggest removing the ConnectedMonitor, SecondMonitorHorizSync, and SecondMonitorVertRefresh options from your X configuration.

If that doesn't help, please generate and post a full bug report.

Thanks,
Lonni

Hi Lonni,

Thanks for the suggestion, I gave it a try, but unfortunatly it did not solve my problem.

I'll attempt to generate a full bug report later this week.

Best regards,
Torsten

So I've finally got it working...

Kinda a long story...but I reinstalled SuSe due to a change in hard drives...and then tried twinview again...worked this time.

Not sure why or how it now works, but I've attached the working xorg.conf file for everyones reference.

Keep yer stick on the ice!
