Hmm... interesting.

I guess I'll give it a try, but Im more than a bit skeptical .

Can you do some benchmarks or take some screens (with FRAPS) of you being attacked by 4-5 people in a city (or out in a grassy field with lots of trees and ruins).

Also, what settings do you use for the game?

I've never fought 4-5 people in the city... but I always fight multiple things in thick grass

1600x1200
HDR on
8AF
Highest settings.

if you guys look in the tweak thread i put in a optimization for density of grass. its the very last quote in the first post. I basically set density to 120 and doubled the range and fade out distance heh, while increasing the number of different grass per texture and have the trees set to render highest model in view. looks stunning and i get higher fps then i did before because i lowered the density slightly of the grass. funny isn't it?

i just did this btw.

give me a second i will post a screenshot

I think everyone has been using FRAPS. Its by far the best way.

I have to retract something I said before about Water hitting the Nvidia card hard with a FPS loss. I full on admit I was wrong.
I did some more testing and this was not the case. Sorry I made an error.

These 2 are still true and tested over and over:
I still get overall better FPS on the ATI card.
I still get much less of an AF hit on the ATI card.

Assuming no AA, 16AF, HDR , everything maxed at 1920 x 1200:

Are there any benchmarks as to which system would perform better
-7900 gtx @690 sli (evga superclocked)
-1900xtx crossfire

I currently have 7800gt's and am awaiting my stepup for 7900gtx superclocked from evga. I have an A8n32 motherboard. If the Ati's in crossfire would make a 'noticeable' (as in > 10%) difference, I would consider cancelling my step up, getting a new MB w/the dual Ati's. However, I really don't feel like doing this if the two systems would perform similiarly.

Hehe, I still think that Cat AI standard is not a cheat since there is no visual degradation.

Really, when I use 8xAF I go from 41 to to around 31 FPS with Nvidia.
I don't have this happen on the ATI even using AFHQ8x.

NO AF on Nvidia = 8xHQAF on ATI = same performance.
