Very cool on the Dev's tweaks. Can I ask what forum that came from?

Also, do any of them fix the water reflections problem?

Thanks.

the water reflection problem i believe stemmed from using the tweak i have listed as DO not use. the one that expands textures. If you do not use that one and just use the grid one and the uNumDepthGrids= one you shoudlnbt have water issues.

Here do me a favor reset your ini to default and use the last set of tweaks only and see if you still geta water issue.

Why not just delete the do not use tweak?

saves confusion.

uGridsToLoad DOES cause the water reflection problem on its own. However the dev here states that an odd number value should be used when we have been using 10, maybe changing it to 9 would fix the problem? It makes sense after all, the number is supposed to represent a the diameter of detailed grids drawn, so an even number would leave it lopsided, which could explain the missing reflections. I'll try to illustrate:

uGridsToLoad =
Odd (5, in this example):

Even (4 in this one):

...the red square being the player's current grid.

The uNumDepthGrids tweak does not fix the reflection issue.

it should actually fix itself in the ini if you set it to 10 look in your ini its probably now at 11.

uNumDepthGrids= does NOT fix the water reflection issues. I have tested it many times myself.

Actually the Dev. doesn't even say to mess with that setting.

The uGridsToLoad= setting does make the water problem worse the higher you go. I think it was best for me at 7, and the game automatically sets it to an odd number.
Try it, set it to 6 load the game and then come out and check your .ini. It will be at 7.

What I want to do is ask the dev. how to fix the water refleciton issues when using uNumDepthGrids.

Ah, didn't realize the game sets it automatically to an odd number. I dunno then.
