I havent really done much outside of just try to compile all the information others have found or stumbled across, hehe. but thanks =)

It's just so muche asier for everyone if all info out there tweak fix performance wise is compiled into a single source so they can browse through for their own usage. Even if its for or against using certain tweaks.

This is interesting:

Damn work! I'll have to wait till later to test this out myself. I dont think the screenshots look too hot (grass wise) but with some tweaking, he may be on the right track. Longer grass draw distance + more fps doesnt sound bad to me

Can anyone else confirm that they are getting the same water reflection issue that astro linked in his screenshot? Astro was that reflection error seen on both of your cards ati and nvidia?
Yeah I checked both systems. Same place, same error.

Yeah, the reflection problems happens both ways. I took 3 screenshots all in a row. 7 with 1,3 and no mod. You can see the problem with either 1 or 3, doesn't help either way.

Try yourself. Just to the left of the ruins right across the pier when you come out of the sewer. It messes up other places too, but you can always test there.

Clay I cannot believe you are getting 42 FPS with those values.

Wit values of 50/30/7 for those 3 ini entries I average at 20 FPS, with the same type of machine.

Nice examples nonetheless!

I wouldn't get them all over either. But, it does happen enough to stop me from using the Grid tweak.

I hope this isn't old news to you guys, but I just found this at the elder scrolls forums:

http://ideveloper.pandora-studios.co...tingsGuide.txt

It seems to have a lot of info that has been mentioned here, plus some extra stuff all in one nice doc.

The one thing I saw on that page which I need to try tonight is setting the iFPSClamp in the ini which allegedly caps the framerate. I think that would help with the percieved jumpiness going from 20 fps to 60 fps.

FYI:

Use "~" to open console
type "tdt"
Get FPS in game

Might be useful to some.

I was wondering if that existed!

Now it is possible to do a true dual core vs single core comparison.
