Angry Slowww 2D with 4191

Does everybody suffer from 2D performance of the newest #4191 nvidia linux dirver?
Before I switch back to #3123, like to ask if there is any solution?

I found, that the backing store is disabled! Could it be the problem?

$ xdpyinfo | grep backing
options: backing-store NO, save-unders NO

any hints are welcome!

Yes, many many people are seeing slow 2D with the 4191 drivers.

The problem is that nVidia replaced the Render extension (at least, I think it was Render) acceleration with their own thingy that either programs don't know how to use, or just don't use because they're looking for Render, or it's independent of the program that's running, and just doesn't work.
