Exclamation Asus update v7.0401 not installing, getting error message..please help!

Would anyone here know how to correct the problem when trying to install
Asus live update software on a computer that's running Creative X-Fi Hardware/Software? on Windows XP Pro? I recall sometime ago, there was a registry setting that needed to be modify/corrected in order for the Asus live update software to work correctly in conjunction with Creative Labs software. Would anyone please repost that forum thread on NV News? or would someone please post a step by step guide in detail on how to modify the Windows XP registry so that I can install the Asus Live update software utility? Thank you!

I guess the only question now is, how do I change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\aWow6432Node

I was trying to rename the folder from Wow6432Node to aWow6432Node but, when I do I get the following error message...any suggestions? I'm trying to update to the latest bios version but can't because the Asus update software has conflicts with Creative Labs software. Once someone can give me direction I'll be okay. I'v done this fix in the past but totally forgot how to.

Problem fixed! Oh now what do you do if you delete the folder Wow6432Node that's in the Windows XP registry?
This was done by mistake. Is there away to restore the Wow6432Node registry folder?
I'm running Windows XP Pro perfectly..but, I'm not sure how long before something could happen. Am I talking to myself LMAO~!

Export just the aWow6432Node folder to a REG file, open it in notepad and replace \aWow6432Node with \Wow6432Node, save it, and double click on it to import it to the registry.

Didn't you read what I wrote? by mistake, I completely deleted the Wow6432Node folder that's in the Windows XP registry. How do I restore the folder back into the Windows XP registry without having to do a complete new format to the hard drive? This is what I need you help on at the moment.

you backed the registry up before you decided to touch it right?? Cause only a moron would mess with the reg and not back it up first

No, I didn't backup anything. My computer is still running perfectly.
I'll do a restore install if I have to so I'm not worried. Anyway, that's all end of story......

Well, you! and WarheadMM don't have to be all rude about this topic. Out of any member on here, you guys have to call out on me and act like a bunch of a$$es. I mean yes, I screwed up and so I'll learn from it. Rome wasn't built in day!!!! I know what your trying to say in words I won't use on here. Anyway, I fixed the problem on my own and I didn't need your solicited advice to do it.
