Asus P4PE memory installation difficulties
I recently aquired 2 sticks of Dell DDR 512 333 memory from a friend. I was currently using 1 512 333 stick in my asus p4pe motherboard of a different brand (dont remember which). I attempted to add a stick of my friends dell ram (only one because the p4pe only supports 2 double sided ram sticks ata time), the bios recognized that I was running at 1024mb of ram but when the windows loading screen comes on it freezes every time.
I've tried every combination I could think of in on my board (2 dell sticks, 1 dell stick, I tested out each stick alone in each slot etc.) All the sticks and slots seem to be functional.
My system is custom built running a p4 2.4ghz processor running XP pro SP2. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Asus P4PE memory installation difficulties
Check the memory timings make sure they are really relaxed timings and try again.
