These flash ads use ridiculous amounts of CPU power when visible.
Let's have a look with the ads displayed: That's 79% CPU usage by Firefox. How about with the flash ads hidden from view? A mere 11%. Now this isn't normally a big deal, but if I'm doing something CPU intensive and trying to browse the forums it causes a great deal of problems. I just wanted this to be brought to everyone's attention, since it's no doubt due to the poor optimization job done by the ad creator.

Yep I noticed it too. I had to adblock them because it was making pages crap out on me.
I dont know why some ads on some sites kill my system so bad... it doesnt make any sense.

Unless you want to pay for the site or suggest a better alternative the flash adverts must stay

Well that's the thing - I'd rather not block the adverts on such a fine site that I frequent so regularly.
Hopefully NVIDIA will release some new products so we can get different ads. ![]()

You can also enable the Hosts file that comes with K-Lite v2.7 to block them.

![]() For the record, it's the same 80% in IE. It's definitely the flash player's fault.

I'm not sure what flash version I have installed with IE but I haven't seen it go above 22%. It bounces between 16-22%. Actually, looking at the addons it's the activex flash8 control.
