I was reading that nvidia was going to support this
(that is what is required to run compiz), ahi ahi ahi!!!! BTW, it still look like a great release, thanks a lot! |

The extension isn't supported yet. Note that the extension is still under heavy development which is why it isn't supported. If it was there would be two or more versions of it which software developers would have to support.

It's a tad confusing though that we can't get our nVidia cards to work with a showcase nVidia supported project without Mesa LD_PRELOAD hackery.
Which isn't to say that you're logic is flawed - it's not at all. Also I'm grateful that 8756 allows my new card to run at all, and more so that I can run Xgl at all ![]() |
