Default Refresh Stuck at 50Hz at 1024x768 - Should be 90Hz

I have a Dell M1110. At 1024x768 the desired refresh is 90Hz and runs fine that way on a separate machine running WinXP.

On a past install of FC4 on my linux server with an Nvidia GF 6200 with the 8178 driver, I got 87Hz which was bearable.

On a fresh install of FC5 with the same graphics card and the 8756 I now have 50Hz with very bad flicker.

The nvidia-bug-report.log is attached.

Please start X with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 5

and then generate and post an nvidia-bug-report.log.

Thanks,
Lonni

In your xorg.conf, replace "1024x768" with "1024x768_85" and you'll get 1024x768@85Hz. Please note that this has been discussed in several other threads on this forum.

Thanks,
Lonni
