Memory upgrade - opinions plz
I am looking to upgrade the memory in my system, and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the performance increase of using memory in dual channel mode. This is because I have heard conflicting opinions from people. Some say that they do notice an increase in performance, and others say they don't see much at all.
Basically I have 2 options:
1) add another gig of memory in single channel mode for a total of 2 gigs
2) replace current memory and put in a gig (or 2) or dual channel
If the dual channel route is best, is it wise in terms of game performance to get 2 gigs, or should the 1 gig be good enough?
thanks in advance for the advice
