I spent all of spring break playing it on my friend’s 360, but didn’t get anywhere near finishing. Condemned is excellent, esp. if you're into the hand-to-hand first person view stuff. Nothing like bludgeoning junkies with a 2x4. New demo is here: http://www.condemnedgame.com/

I just noticed at the Condemned website, it says about the game being a prequel story. Thus, there will be a follow up, IMHO.

I just started the game. It's quite good except for the slow walking... Interesting plot, will definitely buy the sequel.

Edit: Looks like the prequel story is just an advertising campaign. So, no sequel so far.

I was intending to buy it but the crappily done release threw me off. EBgames.com has it on the 11th, so what the hell is up with that?

Oh well, I'll still pick it up sometime...

Gamestop down the street has a couple of copies......I'm totally torn and not sure I want it or not.....I keep playing the demo, but still can't tell if its worth getting the full game.....
I promised myself I'd be more picky this year....I don't want to waste another dime on a crap game.

I installed it, played it for 20 mins, got a bit past the demo scene and havent touched it since, been too damn busy. Seems decent, is it a waste of money? Well, I can tell right away it's not memorable, it wont captivate you with a deep story or brillant acting....the lead character's voice acting is ridiculously bad, not even funny bad, just dumb bad. It's eye candy with hand combat...take it for what it is and it should be fun. =)

I am so into hand to hand that I love this game. I spent so much time on other games just wishing I could rip something out of the scenery and use it as a weapon, Condemned satisfies that itch. Granted the game is short, but I don't think it's boring at all... and that mannequin sequence was off the hook.

I hope they do a sequel.

is it just me, or does Soft Shadows GREATLY improve image quality in this game? In FEAR, i barely noticed Soft Shadows. In this game it seems there is a huge difference.

Depends on system....

You can have everything maxed out, but leave AA and stuff off, and you have happy fps.

I can put everything on High + 2× aa and the other thing.. and have good frame's..... with that said... the engine is capped @ 30 FPS ? and 60 FPS ?

I like the game but I have like 6 or so relatively new games (new to me, anyway) so I dunno. I'm glad it's short

Yes, this was a very good game really. Performance was very good, probobly because the letterbox aspect ration cuts down on the rendering workload [anyone know to get around that yet? it must be destroyed...] It was a lot like fear in that the story has massive holes, but overall a very engaging game with an Awesome ending. Soft shadows was playable for me, but I should hope so with a brand new graphics card!!! The full screen fx is really cool to. Oh, and Hi everyone!!!...you must be destroyed.....
