Default SuSE 10.0 with Geforce2 MX400: black screen

I have a PC with Intel integrated graphics and a PCI Geforce2 MX400 card. I've installed OpenSuSE 10.0, which crashed during hardware detection and gave me a black screen with steady cursor top-left. The machine boots fine, but when I try to start sax2, either from the menu or console, it crashes with the same black screen. I have tried specifying a module with sax2 -m 1=nvidia or sax2 -m 1=nv but both result in the crash. (The Nvidia card is definitely 1, I have tried sax2 -p).

PCLinuxOS manages to use this setup fine, so presumably it must be something to do with SuSE's configuration. The xorg.conf from PCLinuxOS is below:

Code:

I'd be extremely grateful if anyone has any ideas why this might not be working...!

Many thanks, Greg.

According to the bug report, you're not using the nvidia driver, you're using the fbdev X driver.

Thanks,
Lonni
