Which drivers in paticular?

Yea the stuttering is terrible, next gen mode is next to unplayable. Overall performance is playable in next gen mode, but the stuttering makes it unplayable.

It does look a bit better however, mainly the water. Also the textures seem a little better, but performance takes a huge nose dive.

One weird thing I noticed is that in next gen mode, when you exit out of the water, Lara's shirt isn't all wet like the non next gen mode... bug maybe?

Even when you have next gen on and pause the game it has stuttering. Hopefully there's a fix soon.

Heres a few shots at 2560x1600 All Max w/Nextgen enabled. Very playable at 30+ FPS throughout with the help of Forceware 84.43.

The 84.43s. They help with performance some but I'm still getting some hitching/stuttering. They added a profile for it so that probably helped some (for SLI users). I think I was using AFR2 earlier and their new profile is back to using AFR. I tried AFR2 anyway but their mode seems to work best.

Cool, it works. I hadn't even taken my wired Xbox 360 controller out of the plastic but after seeing your comment, I downloaded the software from Microsoft, installed it, connected the controller and it seems to be working. I thought maybe they required a special version for PCs but I guess that isn't the case. Thanks for the tip.

Edit: It works really well and definitely will make it easier going between the PC and the Xbox 360. It's just like it is on the Xbox.

The 84.43s make a very nice difference for me with next gen option on. A little stuttering but it's pretty playable.

Well I installed 84.43 driver and checked Tomb Raider profile, here are one profile, it use TRAOD.exe not TRL.exe. With this driver, Tomb Raider Legend's shuttering were finally gone in game but here are 1 or 2 shuttering only on cut scenes. Glad it finally get very playable on my 7800 GTX 256Mb, I was that close to buy a brand new EVGA 7900 GTX EGS for £326 on ebay and have it import from USA last week but decided not to buy at last min as I thought the patch or new driver will fix Tomb Raider Legend shuttering than a 512Mb VRAM does.
