Anyone have any idea why Rutlands hair (the bad guy) is blue in the temple cutscene? As are his wrists and feet. Everything else looks ok.
This is with next gen enabled.

Glad it finally get very playable on my 7800 GTX 256Mb, I was that close to buy a brand new EVGA 7900 GTX EGS for 326 on ebay and have it import from USA last week but decided not to buy at last min as I thought the patch or new driver will fix Tomb Raider Legend shuttering than a 512Mb VRAM does.
You should have two profiles for tomb raider. I installed over the 84.25s initially and also did a remove first/then install. In both cases, I had the new profile for Tomb Raider:Legends (the name they used). In my case, I ended up with 3 profiles since I already had a profile called Tomb Raider Legends (without the : from when I installed over the 84.25s). The SLI value is predefined (read only) on the new profile which also kind of shows it was added by them.

Wow, the next-gen mode really is head and shoulders above the regular mode. I've been comparing modes a little tonight and was surprised at the difference. I also found that I like the looks of things better with the depth of field off although I haven't decided if I'm going to play the game like that or not. Heh, disabling it actually helped with the framerate some also but before I go that way I want to compare more areas.

Anyway, a screenshot showing a pretty big difference between the modes (next-gen versus next-gen off).

1920x1200

Next-gen....................Regular

Edit: Heh, just not quite the same Lara.

they aren't smaller per se they seem to be using parallax mapping from what I can tell vs what looks like a low poly model on the non next gen version. So they are much more detailed.

Or is that deformation mapping? Anyone?

Even the rope looks better in the next gen pic... the non next gen pic looks like a sprite. Using AFR2 now, and the performance is good in next gen mode

hmmm..i'm tempted to buy this game but i think i'll wait till the price comes down, 6-7hrs gameplay is a bit short for a TR game.

The Depth of Field setting really changes the look also. Here the next gen versus regular mode difference isn't quite as dramatic but the depth of field setting seems to change the look quite a bit. I'm still trying to decide whether I want to use it or not.

Next Gen DoF off........Regular DoF off............Next Gen DoF on

I dunno if I like DoF either, seems like a waste of GPU performance

I enjoyed it mate. I got it cheap and it was totally worth the money. A pleasant change from my usual repertoire of games.
