Yes I know this has been posted before, but the problem still persists with the 8756 drivers: switching to console or exiting X will result in garbled console text.
The only way around this seems to be to specify vga=normal in lilo or other bootloader, which is fine except that instead of being able to use a nice workable 1024x768 64k console I have to work with what must be 640x480 or thereabouts. Is there any chance of devs looking at fixing this for the next release please? |
