The Community of NVIDIA FreeBSD forum demands nVidia to release there driver source code, to make it possible for developers of free operating systems programming decent 3D drivers in the future.
This Petition should also be considered at the same time as an request of all other hardware manufacturers to release the source code of their driver’s. Respectfully, |

Matthias Lorenz, FreeBSD 6.1-RC1-i386, Petition Organizer As a hardware manufacturer I would have nevertheless only one desire: That my product runs as everywhere as possible. A few platforms are officially supported, and who wants drivers for other systems, can write them from the source code themselves. |

No use here. Their source contains NVIDIA's IPs which understandably they don't want to share...least with their competitors. If you want to organize such petitions do so elsewhere and not here. NVIDIA have their own forums please relate your grievences there. These sections are help sections of the nV News forums not anything else.
