Is there any known problem with NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8756-pkg2.run and Xorg 7.0?
I'm running debian unstable on 2.6.16.5 vanilla kernel, I succed in compiling the module with your installer but when i try to run X i get this errori in the log file:

Is it a known bug? Is there any action i can perform to get it work properly?
Please note that
$ sudo modprobe nvidia
succeds and the module appears in lsmod although it does not change thigs for Xorg to run properly
Here follows some output that might help:

Default Re: NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8756: Xorg fails to load module

Hello,

I did have problem with glx module too on the same debian configuration ...

Try to see if you have run 'nvidia-installer' with correct --x-module-path ... there is a post on it !

If it done, check if your libglx.so is the right symbolic link (pointed to libglx.so.8756). My problem was this one

Good luck ...
