hd1080i recommended modeline

What is the recommened modes to run HD1080i with using the current drivers, the HD480p seems to auto-select ok but 1080i only select 1024 which doesn't fill the screen.
Also do I still need the following settings for the 8756 drivers for FC4

I've set my current mode = 1920 x 1080

(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 1920 x 1080

which fills screen but I'm getting a slight flicker is there a settings to fix this?
The flickers seem mostly around thin lines in my MythTV setup pages

is there anything to reduce this flicker for HD1080i mode ? or is this normal for thin lines etc

If you're using the DVI port, you could try the different scaler settings with nvidia-settings.
