I did an online update of SuSe 10 and now I get no GUI.
I tried startx and get something along these lines ,screens available but not compatible, The kernel was updated so I'm figuring I need to recompile the video drivers. How do I go about this from the command screen? It's been awhile ![]()

You can avoid this problem by using the nvidia driver provided via YaST, because SuSE will then update it as part of the kernel update. However, this is an older version of the driver. |
