I'm running SUSE 10.1beta x64 (I got this to work once but can't find the patch I used previously) on a Biostar Tforce 939 mb with the Nforce 410 southbridge. I have a 2.6.16-8 kernel and the network drivers installed fine.
Using NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run and the log file shows: /tmp/selfgz8468/NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1/nvsound/main/nvmain.c: In function ‘Nvaudio_mmap’: /tmp/selfgz8468/NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1/nvsound/main/nvmain.c:991: error: implicit declaration of function ‘remap_page_range’ make[4]: *** [/tmp/selfgz8468/NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1/nvsound/main /nvmain.o] Error 1 make[3]: *** [_module_/tmp/selfgz8468/NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1/nvso und/main] Error 2 make[2]: *** [modules] Error 2 -> Error. This is a known bug, however you should be able to use the ALSA drivers for sound support.
Thanks, Lonni |
