Im returning to Everquest :(

Never was into PVP, Im more of a PVE. I like exploring with friends and all just hanging around rather then fighting others (mainly why I played a Cleric for 62 levels in EQ1).

Only game I played PVP was UO and L2... Even WoW I just ignore people who try to tuant me into PVP.

Now don't get me wrong when it comes down to other genre's im all for competitve gaming, just not in MMOs. I see them as coopertive games more then anything.

PvP in UO was unavoidable (untill the release of the game ruining Trammel side of the world). That was half the beauty, everyone was human. Race and faction did not protect you from other users. You were always at the mercy of another player, and they at yours. After 5 murder reports you do get flagged a murder though... (name is red instead of blue and you are freely attackable).

err, from the sound of it, most of your pvp experience is from flawed mmorpgs in one on one battles. Both WoW and Most especialy guildwars center on pvp as a TEAM event.

The problem with "just exploring" is eventualy youve explored everything. more often sooner then later. And all the games out there are fairly static worlds.

Not everquest


Everquest is the one game that was done right the first time. Even now, after 7 years I doubt there is someone that has seen everything. ANd its reallly not that big of a game in comparison to others...

I played Guild Wars competitively for months. I was on multiple teams that held under rank 50 and have countless matches under my belt, not to mention my fair share of HoH. I know how group PvP works.

And there were huge group battles in UO too. Factions were constantly fighting for control of towns, and that often led to huge battles in strongholds.
