Default Big problem with Nvdia Gforce 5200 driver

I got a rather big problem

I didnt had the Nvidia driver installer and i didnt knew how to install it, so a guy on a diffrent form adviced me to use EasyUbuntu to install Nvidia Gforce Drivers automaticly along with all the other options i needed, so I installed everything (except the ATI Video drivers) and after i rebooted i had the problem showed below, i believe that EasyUbuntu misconfigured my Gforce 5200FX but i dont know how to fix it

Now My Ubuntu wont load at either situation(regular or recovery), he just gives me the following screens

1

for those who cant see the photo or cant understand the writing it says

Failed to start the X server(your graphical interface). it is likely that it is not set up correctly. would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem?
all besides that is jibrish

afterwards he gives me a dos like screen asking for username and password

so my question is how do i fix the problem and if its not possible then how erase the old driver and then run an update for my Nvidia Gforce 5200FX driver throught the driver i downloaded from Nvidia.com, when ever i run it he says something about a Server X problem... if you can please inculde a guide explaining how to configure it correctly

You appear to be comiling the NVIDIA kernel module with a different compiler
than the one that was used to compile the running kernel. The Linux 2.6 ker
nel module loader rejects kernel modules built with a version of gcc that do
es not exactly match that of the compiler used to build the running kernel.
The compiler used to compile the kernel was gcc 3.4; the current compiler is
gcc 4.0.

This is a very common Ubuntu problem, and can be resolved by running "export CC=gcc-3.4" before installing the driver. This has also been discussed in several other threads on this forum.

Thanks,
Lonni

The export command is case sensitive. You can't make CC lower case.

However, this entire process has been documented in other threads, and I'm fairly certain that there are Ubuntu specific webpages that cover this as well.

Thanks,
Lonni

I wrote it exactly as your said, and its still not working.

I looked for it in other posts and in other sites and althogh i found instruction, they were for a user with a higher experience in linux then me and i didnt understood anything from it, so can you please expain to a noob like me, how to do it without any Terminal tinkering, Complex command or stuff like that?

The export command assumes that you have gcc-3.4 installed on your system. Ubuntu, by default, doesn't install any development tools (including gcc-3.4). If you run "gcc-3.4 -v" and get an error, then its not installed.

Thanks,
Lonni
