Holy cow! I love WMP11. My mp3s sound way better than they did on WMP10 and this version plays DVDs without installing a 3rd party decoder, i.e. Purevideo. Awesome! No more Cyberlink PowerDVD and no more Purevideo.

Now why don't you use VLC-media player? I've used almost all of the different players: power dvd, bs-player, mp-player etc. and I've always come back to using VLC. There just isn't a player that could beat it at playing DVDs and other movies.

VLC is my favorite media player accpet it has one huge flaw.

Its UI sucks, if it even has one KEK!!!!

For example, it has a plugin for mozilla that allows VLC to play embedded videos, the probelm is there is no ui what so ever, you cant stop seek or even replay it.

so great player with the features that i use all of the time (mainly aspect ratio and werid codecs) but hard to use.

Well, here's the link to their homepage and download: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. The best part is that it doesn't stress the CPU nearly as much as the other players do.

Just me who can't stream film clips from i.e gamespot.com or any other site for that matter? Just says it can't connect to the internet?? I have checked that it is not in "Offline mode" and "Connect to internet" is checked in the options menu...

Edit:
Fixed it by running the "Network wizard"
