Default Half - Life II?

What ever happened to that? Is Valve gonna let one of the industries biggest game fade away without a sequel? There was talk of a sequel years ago, but thats gone. I would love to see a new story with new graphics. Anyone?

I'd like to see a sequel based on the Doom III engine but I don't think it's going to happen any time in the forseeable future.

I would hope that HL2 wouldn't end up being the Daikatana or Duke Nukem Forever of this decade.

I don't even think Valve admitted to be even doing the sequel...

Im almost positive Valve mentioned something about a sequel but stated their primary project, the Team Fortress series, was taking up most of its time. Too bad if they never come back with a sequel, but I guess if they know they cant beat HL, better not even make one and leave it at that.

i'm sure they can do better with current technology than what was done in Half-Life. advances in CPU speed mean better physics and better AI are possible alone, which i'm sure those crazy guys at Valve could put to good use.

Team Fortress II is NOWHERE to be seen. Don't bother thinking about HL2

Valve = a bunch of one-hit-wonder, essentially talentless sellouts and coporate wh0res

oh boy TF2!
I drooled over that about 3yrs ago!
FOR-GET-IT!

delay delay dealy

When will dudes like Valve and the DNF team realize that games don't need to have the cutting-edge technologies to play a game and enjoy it...both had engine re-do's and I don't even think TF2's engine is done yet (but niether is Unreal's, the ever-evolving engine)

either that or they just want to milk Half-Life for all its worth until they absolutely have to release new tech...seems to be working so far

That's what's been done so far.

Let's see.

HL

OP-FOR

TFC (Or TFG for gay edition, a bastardization of the immortal QWTF)

HL+Opfor+TFG pack

Blueshift+Opfor

CS Retail

HL+Opfor+TFG+Blueshift+CS Pack

Let's see.

HL was good. I also enjoyed OpFor quite a bit, money well spent, (although the ending was anticlimactic).

Blue shift sucked my ass (only a good buy if you DONT have opfor)

So did TFG (Not really a game, but that doesnt stop it from sucking!)

CS, needs no words, as everyone knows it's a big piece of donkey-doo.

Yes, Valve sucks.

One good game, from the marketing of 5!

(Remember, OpFor came from gearbox)

and yet the "powered by Half-Life technology" games/mods keep coming. and what is the single "engine" that the most popular games are on right now? you can guess what it is.

i never meant to say Valve wasn't milking Half-Life, but since Day of Defeat 3.0 or whatever was recently released, they've still got more milking planned it seems.

huh? Thats the kind of thing someone who sucks at it says..
CS is the most popular online game ever!! Considering it's a freebie mod for a game, I'd say it's prolly the most successful mod ever!!

fool!
