Besides Spybot SD and malwarebytes are there any good trusted programs that scan for malware/spyware/trojans etc?

Malwarebytes does a really good job at removing spyware. If that doesn't work, you can try Super Anti Spyware Portable. It's got a weird file extension but runs just like an exe, kinda bypasses the spyware blocking executables. And if that doesn't work, a format may be in your future.

What are you talking about? How are you seeing these "extra connections"?

I don't know much about Yahoo messenger and I don't see how you think it's spyware causing multiple logins. Sounds like someone may have hacked your account. I would do the following:
* Change your password. * Try a multi-IM client like Pidgin and see if it keeps kicking you out. * If those don't work, contact Yahoo support and see what they can do to help you. * If all of the above don't work, go to a different IM provider like Google Talk or MSN. |
